NBA Review (PSP)

By Stephane Petit-Clerc () - 5.7 out of 10

Growing up, I had a love hate relationship with 989 Sports and its various franchises. While some years I loved ShootOut and GameDay and FaceOff, other years they just left me cold. As time went on, I would look more towards EA or Sega's alternatives. But after playing the amazing MLB on the PSP, I truly hoped that this was a turning point for 989 and I was eagerly awaiting NBA. Frantix Review (PSP)

By Stephane Petit-Clerc () - 6.3 out of 10

As much as sport titles, first person shooters, RPGs and adventure games are fun and satisfying to play, handhelds also need titles that simply provide quick-fix entertainment without heavy-handed stories, long texts to scroll through and 9 innings when 3 will do. Read More.

Pariah Review (Xbox)

By James Wielgosz () - 5.9 out of 10

Canadian game studio Digital Extremes has teamed up with publisher Groove Games (of "Playboy: The Mansion" infamy) to produce Pariah, a fantastical first-person shooter set in earth's distant future. Like a slew of FPS' before it, the game uses the ubiquitous and dated Unreal engine. Read More.

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks Review (Xbox)

By Eduardo Araujo () - 8.1 out of 10

Mortal Kombat is one of the most popular games from the arcade era of the 90's. The fighting system was innovative and the brutal ways to kill your enemies "with fatality" were challenging and fun to watch. Over the years, Midway has released a few new titles to continue the franchise, notably MK Deadly Alliance, Deception, among others. Read More.

Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes Review (Xbox)

By Stephane Petit-Clerc () - 8.6 out of 10

Less than a year ago, Microsoft and Phantagram gave us Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders, a game that took many gamers by surprise and built a strong and loyal following almost immediately. While not the over-the-top success of a Halo or a Jade Empire, Kingdom Under Fire's success came from the simple fact that it filled a void in many gamers' libraries. Read More.

We Love Katamari Review (PS2)

By Stephane Petit-Clerc () - 8.8 out of 10

I'm a 30 year old male. I rip through Mature-rated games like candy, completely unfazed in the least. I watch Unrated movies from France and Europe. Late night TV has nothing on me. And I confess; I became a giant freaky mess of goofiness when I found out that there would be a sequel to Katamari Damacy. Read More.

Burnout Revenge Review (Xbox)

By Stephane Petit-Clerc () - 9.2 out of 10

As a reviewer, it is hard (and mostly unheard of) to give a sequel a higher score than its predecessor. In this case, factor in that the predecessor in question is a landmark title like Burnout 3: Takedown and that this iteration simply builds upon greatness and you'd have a good case against scoring it higher. Ape Escape: On The Loose Review (PSP)

By Stephane Petit-Clerc () - 4.2 out of 10

I still remember quite vividly the day my friends and I picked up the original Ape Escape game for the Playstation. I remember coming home and hoping that all the previews I'd read were right. To me Ape Escape looked like a children's game. I was hoping the articles that had previewed the title using words like "innovative and "defining" hadn't led me astray. Read More.

Devastation Review (PC)

By Alan Palmer () - 6.0 out of 10

Devastation could have been a great game, but it is deeply flawed in fundamental ways and is instead just another first-person shooter thrown into the pile of mediocrity. There are some really interesting elements of this game that make it worth mentioning. Read More.

Champions of Norrath Review (PS2)

By Stephane Petit-Clerc () - 9.0 out of 10

I love discovering a good game. You know, the ones that have been out for a while and that you've never really payed a lot of mind to only to chance upon them as a fluke and wonder how you could of lived without them? Well, Champions of Norrath is exactly that kind of game. Read More.
