New Sonic release confirmed

SEGA has announced they will be releasing Sonic Generations for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The game is expected to be a union of Sonic's 1991-style 2D side-scrolling we're all familiar with, along with its more recent 3D adventures. All this will be combined with the familiar franchise environments newly built in HD. Read More.

Call of Duty: Black Ops new add-on confirmed

Activision has announced they will be releasing a new game add-on for Call of Duty: Black Ops, entitled Escalation.  It will first be available to Xbox LIVE members starting Tuesday May 3rd.  This downloadable content pack will contain 5 all-new maps, consisting of 4 Multiplayer maps, a Zombie experience, and new playable characters. PlayStation hacker Geohot has settled with Sony

The man who Sony accused of cracking PlayStation 3 security, hacker George "Geohot" Hotz, has reached a settlement with Sony Computer Entertainment America.  SCEA has issued a statement, where they mention that Hotz has "consented to a permanent injunction" regarding the information published by Hotz. NGP release delayed until 2012

Thanks to the recent earthquake in Japan, you may have to wait until 2012 to get your hands on your own NGP handheld.

SCEA president Jack Tretton told Bloomberg, "It may be the straw that says 'maybe we get to just one market by the end of the year.'"  As a result Sony may decide to release the NGP in just one territory to ensure that at least one area will get it during their initial planned 2011 holiday release timeframe.
