Ubisoft is bringing the hit Starz show Spartacus to the video game realm with Spartacus Legends.  The game is being developed by Kung Fu Factory.

According to a press release, Spartacus Legends will have players take on the role of Spartacus, Crixus or their own created gladiator as they are pitted against each others in brutal combat. Liam McIntyre, Spartacus himself, will have his likeness and voice featured in the game. 

The game will feature thousands of weapon combinations and feature a robust skill system allowing players to dismember their foes limb from limb according to the game's website.  The game will also feature leaderboards as well as online and offline play.

The game is scheduled for an early 2013 release for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.
