Telltale Games and Mojang have announced Minecraft: Story Mode. The collaboration was announced via a interactive browser game called Info Quest II.

The game will be a "narrative narrative-driven video game created by Telltale Games." In the browser game, it was stated that the story will not follow the protagonist Steve, but will follow other characters set in the Minecraft series.

Mojang is collaborating both with Telltale Games and members of the community to make Minecraft: Story Mode to make the game "as Minecrafty as possible."

Like other games by Telltale Games, Minecraft: Story Mode will be released episodically with the first one slated for sometime in 2015.

Minecraft: Story Mode will be released for "Xbox consoles" and "PlayStation consoles" as well as PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices.
