Street Fighter V was announced today at the PlayStation Experience event. In a more shocking reveal, it was announced that Capcom's next installment in its franchise would be console exclusive to the PlayStation 4.

"PS4 will be the only console this game ever appears on." said Adam Boyes, Sony's VP of Publisher & Developer Relations

Street Fighter V will also be released on the PC and players will be able to cross-play with each other on the platforms.

"That’s right; PS4 owners will now be able to lay the smack down against PC owners and vice-versa, a first for the Street Fighter series!" said Yoshinori Ono, producer at Capcom.

No release date for the title has been announced at this time.
