The latest Game Informer reports that Spore has been "delayed indefinitely." Electronic Arts says that "Spore has slipped out of fiscal 08 and into fiscal 09". Either way you want to look at it, the end result means its not coming soon.

Gameplay videos have made each of us "sprung" with joy, showing off the different stages of Spore in development. It's hard to tell whats making the delay, but hopefully its for a marketing change of plan, like porting to consoles and not for something like running out of money and thus throwing the partial game in the trash or into a halt.

Either way, all gamers want is to play Spore, and that dream won't happen for another year or two.
