SouthPeak Games announced that Evolved’s Raven Squad is now available for the Xbox 360 and Windows-based PCs. Raven Squad is one of the first games to successfully fuse strategic RTS and fast-paced FPS action into one game; blowing minds and winning awards around the world.
“Raven Squad fuses two fantastic genres into one game and features content and situations that wouldn’t be out of place in a classic 80’s action movie,” said Richard Iggo, VP of Marketing at SouthPeak. “Over the top action, dialog and great game play combine to deliver a game with its tongue firmly in its cheek and its finger on the trigger. In a world where cliches are cooler than oiled pecs and objects that explode for no good reason, Raven Squad ain’t got time to bleed. In fact, we’re happy to see that many titles initially scheduled for this year can’t stand to have their burritos toasted by Raven Squad and as such have put in a full retreat to 2010.”
Raven Squad puts players in the boots of two groups of mercenaries as their plane is shot down over the Amazonian jungle. Caught in the midst of a civil war in Brazil, it’s up to these gods-among-men to fight their way out of this hostile environment as they drop bombs, one-liners, and a smattering of politically incorrect and geographically challenged statements faster than you can say “get to da choppa.” Players have complete control over their gaming experience, whether in RTS mode, FPS mode or a mixture of both, switching on the fly. Not only that, but the fully cooperative story mode offers gamers the chance to play the entire game with a friend or loved one online or locally via system link. Tear your way through 12 awesome levels of intense hot jungle action as you revel in the team’s witty banter and highly explosive tendencies.
