Yesterday, Ubisoft announced that the next saga in the Rainbox 6 story.

Titled Rainbow 6 Patriots, the title will revolve around a single-player experience that will capture the reality of modern-day terrorism says Ubisoft.  The game will be developed by Ubisoft Montreal with Support from Ubisoft Toronto and Ubisoft Red Storm.

"Terrorism has evolved, and so has Rainbow 6. In Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Patriots, all the team play, tactics, and realism that fans of the series love have been coupled with an exciting new narrative direction," said David Sears, creative director at Ubisoft.

The storyline will revolve around the Rainbow 6 team as they battle against a group calling themselves the True Patriots stating that the current American government is corrupted and that they want to take it back from them.

Ubisoft will also come with new innovations within its co-op and multiplayer experience.  Ubisoft states that players will be rewarded for working together as a team and mastering new features that enhance communication and tactical execution.

The game is expected to arrive on store shelves sometime in 2013 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
