Word from Gamasutra is that Sony has been alerting developers that their online store will be back up and functional as of May 24.

This spells good news not only for PS3 owners who have been waiting to activate games such as Mortal Kombat so they can play online, but also developers who have been losing thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars as any revenue stream coming from the PSN store was completely eliminated.
