The PlayStation 3's oft-maligned Move motion device will be getting another string to its bow with Until Dawn, a survival horror exclusive to the platform from Supermassive Games.
Drawing inspiration from teen-horror movies (and with a setup evocative of Cabin in the Woods, no less), Until Dawn follows a group of friends trapped and cut off from the outside world on the anniversary of an old companion's disappearance. Hunted by forces unknown, the player takes control of a variety of characters as they attempt to solve the mystery of who wants them dead.
With the Move device operating a flashlight and weaponry, the narrative can be decided by your actions. "It's up to you how you play, so we don't know how your story will go or who'll be there with you at the end" Supermassive's website promises. Having worked with "Hollywood writers and US TV talent" on the project, the Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock and Start the Party developer claims that "Until Dawn will draw you in with its characters, killer dialogue and shocking, twisted story".
We'll keep you updated in the run-up to the game's 2013 release, but for now be sure to check out the trailer and let us know what you think.
