Bethesda Softworks, in a press released issued today, has announced the development and release of Prey 2.

Prey 2, scheduled for release on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Games for Windows Live platforms, is being developed by Human Head Studios, the same team that developed the first Prey game.
 
"We are thrilled to be working with Bethesda on Prey 2," said Chris Rhinehart, project lead. "Prey 2 will provide gamers the opportunity to explore a new facet of the Prey universe, one that offers fast-paced action in an open, alien world. We're excited to show gamers the title we have been working on and hope they will be as excited by this title as we are."

The first Prey title, released in 2006, starred Domasi "Tommy" Tawodi, a disillusioned Native American that gets abducted, along with most of his reservation, by aliens from beyond the solar system. Forced to fight his way out to escape the harvesters, the game ended with many possibilities as he gets taken away by a group called the 'Hiders' to meet others that have noticed his deeds.
