While the PlayStation Network is back, the PlayStation Store is still M.I.A. There has yet to be a confirmed date as to when the Store will be available again, however, it looks like it may be worth the wait.
Sony has a "Welcome Back" program, and it looks to be pretty generous. According to the American PlayStation Blog, existing members (as of April 20th) will be privy to the following deals:
Two of these five PlayStation 3 games are yours for the taking:
- Dead Nation
- Infamous
- LittleBigPlanet
- Super Stardust HD
- WipeOut HD + Fury
PSP owners can get an additional two games out of these four for their PSP:
- LittleBigPlanet PSP
- ModNation Racers PSP
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
Plus, those that stick around after the full re-launch can look forward to:
- "A selection of 'On Us' rental movie titles" for use on a single weekend. The weekend in question and the titles available have yet to be determined.
- Non-PlayStation Plus subscribers get 30 free days of PlayStation Plus.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers get 60 free days of PlayStation Plus.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag's Alien Casino, an exclusive game.
Europe and Latin America have their own welcome back programs planned, with a slightly different selection of games that will be available to them.
