Ninja Gaiden 3 has officially been given a release date.

Tecmo Koei has announced via press release that the game will ship to retailers on March 20, 2012. A Collector's Edition has also been announced for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

If you preorder the game through GameStop or Amazon.com, you will get a two-character demo stage from Dead or Alive 5, the upcoming fighting game from Team Ninja. If you pre-order the Collector's Edition, you will get the Dead or Alive 5 demo with 4 characters, a Ninja Gaiden 3 "Unmasked" art book, soundtrack CD as well as a unique "Duel of the Masked" figure. The Collector's Edition will only be available through GameStop and EB Games.

Also, according to multiple sites, Ninja Gaiden 3 will be the first title in the series to have a multiplayer function.

The Collector's Edition will cost gamers $99.99.
