Today during the Nintendo Direct Broadcast, Satoru Iwata; President and CEO of Nintendo revealed some key story elements for the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. 

Iwata stated that the world that Link comes from will be the same exact world that was first brought to us in A Link to the Past. However, this time around the Dark World will be completely different.

Also noted, Iwata said that this game will take place "far in the future" after the previous Link had already defeated Ganon, so this will be a brand new Link we will be playing as.

A Link Between Worlds will release on the Nintendo 3DS this November.
