Ubisoft Quebec and Marvel are teaming up to bring an Avengers game to light.  However, this one won't be based on the recent Avengers movie released.

Announced in a press release yesterday, Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth will be a motion-controlled superhero game that will have players controlling some of Marvel's greatest heroes as they fight off against their iconic villains.  The plot of the game will be inspired by the Secret Invasion storyline. Ubisoft also stated that 20 characters will be featured in the title.

"Fans of the Marvel universe and superhero games are going to love the extensive combinations of characters, motion-controlled moves and competitive gameplay." said  Tony Key, US senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft.

The game is scheduled to release this fall for Xbox 360 Kinect and Wii U.
