Here's some news that should lighten the spirits of any Vita owners hoping for new games: Sony has announced Little Big Planet Vita will be released in North America September 25th.

To whet your appetite, they've also posted a short launch video that explains more about the game's creation and its story, and also shows off some gameplay.

Like all other Vita games, Little Big Planet Vita will be released simultaneous digitally and in stores. Sony has announced some preorder bonuses (including Bioshock Sackperson costumes), and in a comment on the announcement, they hint strongly that downloaders will be given additional content as a reward.
