One day after Amazon outed its existence, Square Enix officially confirmed it: the Hitman trilogy is getting the HD re-release treatment on both PS3 and Xbox 360.

The collection will include all three PS2/Xbox-era Hitman games: Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money. In addition, the Xbox 360 version will have an "Exclusive Art Book... [featuring] 22 pieces of never before seen reinterpretations of classic moments from Hitman Contracts, Hitman 2 Silent Assassin, and Hitman Blood Money all done by top artists." Regardless of which system you pick it up on, though, you'll be please to know that it's one of the few HD collections that doesn't feature eyesore cover art.

If all that excites you, you won't need to wait long, as the game is getting North American release in just over a month and a half, on January 29th, 2013.
