Two days after the president of Sony's Worldwide Studios promised "more info soon" regarding remote play on the PlayStation Vita, Sony has announced that both the God of War and Ico/Shadow of the Colossus collections are now optimized for the function.
As they explain on the PlayStation Blog, this means that both of the HD collections can be played on the Vita, provided you've got wi-fi access and a PS3 -- and, of course, that you have the games for PS3. In order to take advantage of the new feature, Vita owners will need to download a patch for the games, map out their preferred controller configurations, and then set things up to allow for remote PS3 access. If that sounds at all complicated, thankfully Pocket Gamer has a step-by-step walkthrough.
The two collections join Little Big Planet 2 as the PS3 games that are compatible with the Vita.
