PopCap's hugely popular strategy game will be receiving a sequel in the form of Plants vs. Zombies 2, EA announced earlier today. With a provisional launch window of late Spring 2013 on the cards, it will "include a bevy of new features, settings, and situations, designed to delight the franchise's tens of millions of fans".

There weren't many other details to be found in the press release (it remains unclear what platforms will see the follow-up), but on a light-hearted note an 'unidentified spokesperson' stated that spring "is crullest curlie ungood time, and plantz grow dull roots. So, we are meating you for brainz at yore house. No worry to skedule schedlue plan... we're freee anytime. We'll find you."
