Today during their E3 Nintendo Direct broadcast, Nintendo revealed the next title in their Super Mario 3D Land series.

Called Super Mario 3D World, the game will allow players to play as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach as well as Toad. This will also be the first time that you will be able to play multiplayer to up to 4 players in a 3D Mario game. Like Super Mario Bros. 2, characters will have special abilities such as Peach being able to hover in her jump and Toad being able to run faster than anybody else.

Also showcased was a new suit that Mario and company could don. The Cat Suit will allow players to run on all fours like a cat during a sprint was will even have the ability to climb up walls and some enemies.

Super Mario 3D World will be available for the Wii U this December.
