So apparently Catherine, the recently-released nightmare-block-puzzler title from Atlus, has been recieving a fair amount of flak from the level of difficulty it provides players, even on the easiest settings.
In their official blog, director of the game Katsura Hashino has noted a fair amount of criticism directed towards the title from players who are having issues getting through the fast-paced nightmare puzzle segments. It's stated that the game's difficulty level was placed such that players felt a sense of accomplishment from escaping from the nightmare, one shared with protagonist Vincent.
Atlus has admitted that the difficulty of the game might be a little too high, however, and has announced that they are working on a patch to tone it down. When it will be released is still up in the air.
