Today at San Diego Comic Con, Capcom revealed a new Strider game. The game is being developed by Double Helix.
Set in the year, Meio: 048, the Cypher-wielding ninja will be tasked with the assassination of Grand Master Meio.
From blinding fast-paced action, hordes of enemies to obliterate to your robot allies, it is everything you remember from classic Strider titles. Strider will also have some new moves and weapons this time around such as the ability to deflect bullets with Cypher slashes and flaming Cypher attacks. The game will be rendered in HD within what Capcom is calling an "open, vast, and interconnected ā2.5Dā environment."
Based off a 7-minute gameplay trailer Capcom has released, the gameplay seems to be reminiscent of games in the vein of Shadow Complex with Strider collecting new weapons and gadgets across a massive map.
The game is scheduled for download in early 2014 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
