With news that Sony has told the American congress that hacker group Anonymous is responsible for the recent breach into their online system, those being accused have answered back.
According to Anonymous, "Public support is not gained by stealing credit card info and personal identities, we are trying to fight criminal activities by corporations and governments, not steal credit cards," They further claim that, "If a legitimate and honest investigation into the credit card is conducted, Anonymous will not be found liable."
This accusation by Sony stems from the discovery of "We Are Legion" being found in data files after the attack, the slogan Anonymous frequently uses.
What do you think? Is Sony using Anonymous as an easy scapegoat or has the hacker group lost control of its members?
