If you were eagerly looking forward to playing Anarchy Reigns in a few months, you may want to avert your eyes for the rest of this sentence: Sega announced via tweet that the game has been pushed back to "Q1 2013".
Of course, at this point, if you were looking forward to the game, you were probably used to having your hopes dashed. Originally scheduled for January of this year, the game was first pushed back to July. Then, a few weeks ago, Platinum Games revealed that Sega had once again shifted the release date, this time to "TBC", even though the game -- at least from their perspective -- was "finished, localized, and ready to go".
It's not entirely bad news, though -- if you speak Japanese (or even if you just have a Japanese PSN account), then you can download the game's demo right now. What's more, you'll also be able to buy the game in just a few weeks, when it gets released on that side of the Pacific on July 5th. Everyone else, however, will just have to wait and see (and, most importantly, pray to Sonic that Sega is still publishing games six to eight months from now).
