According to Cowen analysts, a research firm, based on their observations and analysis, The Old Republic is set to sell 3 million units in its first year after pre-orders for Bioware's game surpassed that of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and Starcraft 2.

Pre-orders went live July 21 and the game is expected to hit shelves and online retailers later this year.
