Alice: Madness Returns is the long awaited sequel to American McGee's Alice.  Over ten years in the making, players will be rewarded for dilligent patience on June 14, 2011, the announced release date for the game.

In this sequel, you follow Alice as she returns to the screwed up world of Wonderland, the game taking place about ten years after the first. Interestingly, this is the same amount of time it's taken for the sequel to release.  Once again, she has to face a bevy of enemies designed to terrify and intimidate as she tries to figure out what evil is infesting Wonderland and turning it from her sanctuary and into a dark and twisted place.

Multiple familiar faces will be making a comeback, including the Cheshire Cat and the Caterpillar.  The game will have brand new features, however, such as melee weapons that can be upgraded and new puzzle mechanics like growing or shrinking in size to complete a level.  Over the course of the game a dark and terrible secret will be revealed, finally explaining Alice's madness.
