Aksys Games was founded by Akibo Shieh and a small group of talented videogame professionals, as a localization company specializing in Japanese to English translation of games and anime. Some of their clientele include well known game publishers, Namco Bandai Games, XSEED, and Atlus U.S.A., Inc.

On July 14, 2006 they announced that we would be publishing Eagle Eye Golf for the PlayStation 2 and with that they made the jump to becoming a full-fledged game publisher. They are now committed to publishing unique, high quality interactive entertainment on current-gen platforms as well as the next-generation of game systems by Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.
