Submerged Review (Xbox One)

By Daniel Acaba () - 8.0 out of 10

While I do believe that Submerged isn’t the sort of game everyone will love I heartily approve of the experiment. Submerged tries to be an emotional experience of a young girl working to save a dear family member and it succeeds at this. It may be slightly repetitive to some, it may be a bit on the aimless side but it’s also an incredibly soft and relaxing experience I enjoyed every step of the way. Read More.

Never Alone: Foxtales Review (Xbox One)

By Daniel Acaba () - 9.0 out of 10

Really Foxtales takes everything I liked about the main game and gets rid of the things I didn’t care for. The bolas? Gone. Sections where my AI partner got me killed? Gone. Constantly running for your life from beasts or environmental threats? Very limited. Foxtales takes the puzzle solving elements and expands them to make a much more compelling experience that lets you sit back, relax and enjoy the experience for what it is - a trip to the stories of another people. Rare Replay Review (Xbox One)

By Daniel Acaba () - 9.5 out of 10

There are some might say that Rare’s recent releases have been disappointing but this compilation shows why the company is so beloved. While some games are notable by their omission the rest of this package is incredibly solid. Even if some newer gamers might be put off by the clunkiness of playing older games you still get six Xbox 360 games and a number of classics for a cheap price making this a must own package. Lost Dimension Review (PS3)

By Nicholas Bale () - 7.0 out of 10

Lost Dimension has some interesting tactical gameplay, but it makes concessions to other areas of the game for its touted 'traitor' mechanic - almost eliminating character depth and reducing the story to only existing between the party as a whole and the big bad evil villain. Add to that an ending that forces you to replay the game, and the flaws certainly stick out if you're looking for something more than just a strong tactical experience, though not quite enough to blemish the rest of the game as a whole. Q.U.B.E: Director's Cut Review (Xbox One)

By Daniel Acaba () - 9.0 out of 10

If you’re like me and you enjoy a good brain bender every now and again, Q.U.B.E. is a great experience. Most of the puzzles are very low stress while also managing to be very involving. You’ll feel frustrated when you get stumped by one but upon solving it, that successful feeling is hard to beat. Pair that up with the great visual aesthetic and ethereal soundtrack to make a hell of a game. Read More.

Anna's Quest Review (PC)

By Naomi Brown () - 9.5 out of 10

One of the sweetest, cutest heroines to grace a video game EVAR...yet she still manages to somehow pull off some twisted acts of justifiable heroism in this point and click adventure game set in an imaginative little fairy tale kingdom. Simple and enjoyable, Anna's Quest is a definite pick up and play for adventure game lovers. Read More.

Legends of Eisenwald Review (PC)

By Naomi Brown () - 4.5 out of 10

Medieval warfare comes together in an interesting enough setting in Legends of Eisenwald, but it's wrapped in a dragon sized mess of questionable mechanics and frustrating scenarios. So while our brave heros could have a wonderful world in which to prove their mettle, we're left with a world in which more of their time is spent waiting around while the player tries to find the right place to click the mouse just to proceed with the simplest of tasks. Ori and the Blind Forest Review (Xbox One)

By Daniel Acaba () - 7.5 out of 10

More than anything else I kind of wish Ori would make up its mind. On one hand it’s a gorgeous, emotional experience with some fun and responsive platforming fun. Then on the other hand it feels like a tough as nails platforming hell type game. Both of these games are fun but with it swinging back and forth it really creates an uneven experience that does kind of get in its own way. Read More.

Will Fight For Food: Super Actual Sellout: Game of the Hour Review (PC)

By Naomi Brown () - 6.5 out of 10

Zany and weird for all of you out there who like that alongside your face smashing and bashing. Or lip smacking and talking. Or...listen, just help our your friends already. Enemies. Whatever, there's a bunch of people and who may or may not like you and you have to help them, whatever it takes and that's just it. And you get to wear a mask. Awesome! Read More.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse Review (Wii-U)

By Nicholas Bale () - 7.0 out of 10

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse doesn't quite meet the expectations built up by its previous title, but it remains a fun title to play through. It provides a number of extra collectibles to find, an oddly asymetrical co-op mode, and a number of stages to explore, despite its less-than-stellar story. Still, a recommended title for people who just want more line-drawing, Kirby-controlling fun. Read More.

inSynch Review (PC)

By Eoin Bradley () - 5.0 out of 10

inSynch certainly has a likable charm, but I found that the distinct disconnect between the music playing and the actions happening on screen lessened my enjoyment. Considering InSynch more like a musical toy, than a rhythm-action game, I gained far more from it. Read More.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China Review (PS4)

By Nick Plessas () - 6.0 out of 10

Assassin’s Creed Unity was a major disappoint amongst the community at large, but this title had the potential to make it so it wasn’t all for not. Tragically, this was not the scenario we were let with. For those die hard AC fans that received Chronicles bundled with the season pass it is worth a look, but tedium and sloppiness slide this experience in the lower tier of this venerable franchise. Infinity Runner Review (PC)

By Daniel Acaba () - 6.0 out of 10

When it comes to Infinity Runner the main feeling one is left with is mediocre. The gameplay is fine but there are a number of problems. Having a storyline would be a nice spin on the formula but they chose to end it in a horrible fashion. Playing as a werewolf is awesome but dying in that form due to aggravating controls really ruins the fun. One could break down every aspect of the game like this and that’s just really disappointing. Tower of Guns Review (Xbox One)

By Daniel Acaba () - 8.0 out of 10

What is important here is that Tower of Guns actually plays really damn well once you get past the initial difficulty of just starting the game. Some players may find it nearly impossible to play this game on consoles if they’re more used to mouse controls, and this is one of the few games that really feel like it benefits from that precision, but that’s a matter of preference.
